    1. Hi,
Here is a site that helps, the idea is simple,
you log your smoked cigarettes on a daily basis, each time you smoke, you log it.
after a while, you will get an understanding of your smoking pattern, then you can start challenging yourself to eliminate them at your own pace.
it helped me drop from 30 to less than 10 a day and still using it
oh yes, it has a free registration.

  2. I know how you feel. Read this blog, there is a lot of good information. Once you understand how the addiciton to cigarettes and nicotine works, you can work on a plan to quit. But you need to understand what you are up against, and how it will try to work against you. If you have any questions or need support just email me or use the message board. Good luck, you'll be surprised how easy it is once you commit

  3. I am 75 years old. I started at age 17. I quit because I got a 4 way bypass operation. Believe me that is not nice! The surgeon flat out told me: "you continue smoking and you die". I got the message. Let me state that "FEAR IS THE BEST GOAD!". I had never even tried to quit previously except for one 2 month period. I started on full strength no filter cigs(about 30 a day) and over the years as my lungs got worse worked my self down to Winston Ultra Lites(about 10 a day). I have been smoke free for 6 months plus, and I still go crazy for cigs every day! This constant craving after so long is making me almost constantly depressed.

  6. why isn't there a medication of some kind that will make a person ill if they want to smoke and find it hard to quite. I think there is such a medication for people who drink alcohol, why not one for smokers who want to quit

  7. I am 65 and have been smoking since I was 12. Despite being diagnosed with COPD about 6 years ago, I am still smoking. I have been hospitalised about 10 times with breathing difficulties and twice with pneumonia and I still smoke !I've tried all the 'help' products to no avail and now I'm trying again with the electronic cigarette. I must stop ! Every cigarette reduces my life expectancy.
I recently came out of hospital after having a blood change procedure but I still have difficulty with breathing after ANY physical movement. Wish me luck !!

  8. I'm using herbal cigs at the moment to help with cravings. I haven't had a nicotine cig for over 36 hours now. These herbal cigs taste shite but they will help me get over the week mark with no nicotine. They also make me realise how bad the smoking habit is.
